Rubén Acosta
Licenciado en Comunicación Audiovisual y con Másteres en Fotografía e Ingeniería Cultural, Rubén Acosta es fotógrafo freelance y gestor cultural. Como artista ha sido premiado internacionalmente, ha expuesto en eventos como PhotoEspaña, Art Lisboa y Madridfoto, y su obra forma parte de colecciones de varios museos nacionales. Trabaja como fotógrafo comercial en su estudio propio y dirige diferentes proyectos culturales.

Con motivo del décimo aniversario de esta publicación hemos hecho un pack especial de edición limitada a 50 copias que contiene el libro original con una sobrecubierta diseñada por SantanaSantana, y una copia de una fotografía inédita, no incluida anteriormente, y firmada por el autor.
Más allá de las grandes urbanizaciones turísticas, de losresortsy de las playas con hamacas, existen en la costa de las islas Canarias pequeñas poblaciones aún vírgenes. Estos asentamientos poseen una personalidad única y retratan un estilo de vida muy vinculada a lo orgánico y con un fuerte sentimiento de comunidad.
"La costa afortunada" es un proyecto fotográfico personal de Rubén Acosta y la componen imágenes de poblados casi desconocidos incluso para la mayoría de residentes. Son espacios de resistencia al progreso, alejados de rutas turísticas, en el límite de lo social y natural, y que en muchas ocasiones ni aparecen en los mapas. Núcleos contraculturales que sobreviven como encapsulados en medio del reinado absoluto de la hiperconexión y la industria masiva del viaje.
